PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Financial Development Agency, Inc. (FDA) is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in helping non-profits to achieve their fullest potential. We work with a wide variety of small to mid-size non-profit organizations, predominantly in New England and New York.  Our expertise lies in the resource development of fields such as education, libraries, youth and social services, the environment, and the arts and humanities. 

 The Program Coordinator will work closely with FDA senior staff and client leadership to identify, design, and implement management and development methodologies to prepare for and conduct successful fundraising campaigns.  FDA’s Program Coordinator serves as the team’s project manager and assists with the implementation of comprehensive fundraising efforts.  The position also provides assistance with grant-writing, volunteer management, and client communications and interactions. 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure) 

  • BA or 3 years experience in marketing, fundraising or customer service required 

  • Strong organizational, communication and technical skills required 

  • Ability to make logical decisions to best satisfy the donor/client

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills 

  • A working knowledge of Google environment 

  • Must maintain strong confidentiality as dealing with donor information 

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and deadlines          

  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills

 FDA is a small, yet dynamic firm of local, civic-minded development professionals offering tremendous opportunity of growth and tenure to the willing applicant.

 This position is a hybrid position, based either on-site with a client or from a remote location.  It is full-time, requiring a minimum of 30 hrs/week. Initial hiring is for an hourly position at a minimum rate of $28/hr., open to negotiation based upon experience and skill.   A salaried position is possible after the review period. FDA is an EOE.

Applicants should have experience with direct customer service, as well as back-office operations attributable to the following objectives:

 Pre-Campaign Services

  • Participating in the implementation of pre-campaign feasibility studies and development audits including conducting personal interviews with key internal and external constituents.

  • Assist with analyzing the case for support; development resources, structure, and strategies and budget; volunteer structure; and donor information systems.

  • Preparing written analysis and recommendations and presenting study findings to organizational leaders.
     

Campaign Services

Supporting FDA team throughout each phase of the campaign.

In collaboration with FDA team, developing campaign plans and strategies.

  • Preparing written campaign documents, operating materials, and publications.

  • Working with senior FDA staff, manage day-to-day campaign tasks/objectives.

  • Conducting prospective donor research (identification, research, evaluation, tracking).

  • Assisting with grant writing assignments.

  • Leading campaign meetings with staff, Board members, and volunteers.

  • Leading volunteer committees, activities, and training programs.
